How the calculation works
Tyre sidewall = tyre width × profile ÷ 100.
Tyre diameter = (sidewall × 2) + rim diameter.
Wheel RPM = engine RPM ÷ transmission ratio ÷ differential ratio.
Road speed = wheel RPM × tyre circumference × 60 ÷ 1000.
The calculated speed assumes no tyre slip and uses the nominal tyre dimensions entered above.
