The TREMEC TR-3650 five speed transmission was first introduced into the 2001 Ford Mustang GT. In 2002 FTE fitted the TR-3650 into the AU Series 3 TE50 & TS50, and XR8 Pursuit 250 models. It was also fitted to the Mk1 Ford BA V8 with a changes to the bellhousing and extension housing for this application.
